An introspective look at the Mario DS collection:
#1 Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow = A+ across the board in terms of graphics, sound, gameplay, and fun. Oh, and even utilizes both screens...not too much and not too little.
#2 Shounen Jump Super Stars = Lots and lots of anime characters all fighting in Super Smash Brothers set-up. Solid graphics and incredibly addictive multi-player setup. If there is any complaint, it could be that you only use the touch screen to switch characters and to use super attacks with side characters.
#3 Mario Kart DS = Wow, this game is like perfection. The graphics are even slightly cripser than the N64 version. I really want to play this online.
#4 Wario Ware: Touched! = This game is insane. Very simple and it is scientifically proven that ANYONE can play it and like it.
#5 Feel the Magic = This game was the second game I bought for my DS. Its one of the most original games on the DS thus far (ironically made by Sega) and I can't wait for the sequel. Extremely short, but is definitely challenging and has hilarious cut/slide shows of the main character.
#6 Metroid Prime Hunters (Demo) = The graphics are a little grainy, but the graphics are very fluid and NEVER slow down. I guess you have to keep in mind that its a demo too. I suck at playing PC games with the mouse, so there was a learning curve using the stylus to move around...but once I got the hang of it I thought it was ingenious. This game will be the first handheld game I have EVER reserved.
#7 Kirby: Canvas Curse = Don't let this being at the bottom of the list fool you...its probably the second most original DS game. I got it from a friend for 20 bucks. Got it around the time I had just started Castlevania so I haven't really got around to it yet. From what I've played so far...I find it very colorful and original and NOT as easy as it looks!
Well, just for the hell of it..here's a list of games that I STILL need to get:
PS2: Shining Tears and Xenosaga 2
X-box 360: Dead or Alive 4
GBA: Riviera, Boktai 2, That Secret of Mana sequel I never bought, and Final Fantasy IV Advance (of one of the greatest RPGs you could ever experience in all of your pathetic existence).
DS: Metroid Prime Hunters, Guilty Gear: Dust Strikers (O_O!), Trace Memory, Lunar: Dragon Song, Mario 64 DS, Trauma Center: Under the Knife, and Viewtiful Joe: Double Trouble.
PSP: Darkstalkers (awasdfkhjegk!!!)

So....this new toy I've had since early August of last year has not died out....only gottten worse. I am addicted to my DS. There are soooo many games out for it right now that I want. I even want the mediocre ones like Trace Memory and Lunar: Dragon Song. There seems to be a lot of Anime-styled games on the DS too....perhaps that's part of it? I dunno. I am really lovin' Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow. That has to be my favorite so far. The graphics, the music, the weapons, soul-system and artwork are all A+. Not too far behind that in #2 would be Shounen Jump Super Stars. Its a Japanese import so whenever the little slide shows kick in, I haven't the slightest clue what they're saying to each other, but the game is FUN. Its like Smash Brothers meets 40+ various popular anime characters. Sometimes the music gets a little repetitive.... and it can get a little frustrating if you don't play it often and forget the difference between "save and quit" and "quit without saving", but other than those quibbles, the games a blast. I really hope to find a person or two that has this game in town to play against. Now THAT would be lots of fun. Maybe at A-kon. =)
I've messed with the WiFi thingie on two different occassions and had no luck. I just need to find the manual for my router. But for whatever reason...I cannot find it...but I KNOW I didn't throw it away. *pulls hair*
I bought Viewtiful Joe: Double Trouble and Trauma Center: Under the Knife today. I'm really close to finishing Dawn of Sorrow, so when I do...I'm jumping on one of these. Then again, I might replay through Dawn of Sorrow again so I can try to get another ending. That and just cause its fucking fun game.
I was about to get that Resident Evil game for the DS, and then I read a review over the game and quickly changed my mind. Its pretty much a port of the PSX RE 1 with a bunch of random stylus mini games thrown in. Interesting, but I have played the first RE game one too many times to play it yet again. o_O First, I didn't even HAVE a playstation at the time and I borrowed one from a friend JUST to play RE. I beat it like twice and then returned the system. A year later my Uncle gives me the Director's Cut for free (because of PC imcompatibilities) for the PC and I play through that one like 4 more times. ^_^; So...I ain't playin' that one again. Maybe if it was like Nemesis or something.
The scariest thing of all is that I actually plan on getting a PSP. Just need more games! The only one I want right now is Darkstalkers. Now, if they came out with Soul Calibur or a DMC on that....THAT would be awesome. Either way...I'd rather get that over an IPOD. IPODs are cool, but that's a lot of money to spend on something that JUST plays music. :/ That and I don't need too much memory to store songs on. While, my DS is ghetto-rigged with the advance movie player, its still not quite DVD quality. That and its a little annoying switching MPEGs and MP3s to GBA files. The Advance movie player is a cool gadget and not many people have it so its nice to have. =) So more than likely, I will probably be using my PSP for music and videos. =) But I'd get that over an IPOD simply because I'm a gamer. Make sense?
Besides my DS...the only non-handheld games I've played lately is Devil May Cry 3 and Soul Calibur 3. Excuse me....lots and lots of Soul Calibur 3. I made Casca from Berserk!!! She looks amazing!!!! I also made Ren Nanase from the hentai Night Shift Nurses. ROFL She just looks adorable in her apron. =) I also made two random chicks that look hot as well. I made one dude and he looked okay, so I deleted him.
Devil may Cry 3...for some of you that have been my friends for a while...ya think I should do I DMC review solely for nostalgia purposes? I think I should just cause I did it with the other 2. And I've only played like the first 4 missions of this one and I can already tells its better than the second. Its taking it back to the original DMC. That makes me one happy Mario. The music is exceptionally good. Its rivet shit. Seriously...well, Industrial Rock shit. Still good nonetheless.
I know this is pretty random...but I don't have much else to post about.

A few people at hiphopmusic thought this was appalling. Cute, huh? I'm not surprised. Anyways, this shit pisses me off. He's just pretty much saying "Uh, I really haven't played any games that have came out in the past decade or two except my game which is amazing." Pfft. The interview wasn't even an interview. He didn't really even answer any of the questions! I like Gamepro because their view on games and consoles seem to match my own...and they seem to have the most unbiased outlook on games and consoles. So I have a feeling that they posted that up there just to make him look stupid and hopefully make sure nobody buys that shit. Dude, doesn't play games. Period. I have to walk by this huge ass Bulletproof stand with fifty games in it everytime I want look at the anime rental section. One of these days I'm gonna knock that thing over by accident.

My birthday is coming up. How do you celebrate a 24th birthday? I have no clue what to do. My parents are gonna get me that Motorola razor-phone-thingie for my birthday. I wonder if its gonna be a Christmas/birthday type gift? Yes, because my birthday is 5 days before Christmas I sometimes get ripped off. Haha, I'm kidding. Birthday isn't really a big thing for me at my age. Whatever I really want, I usually just get for myself. Well, except for rims. Speaking of which, I cannot wait for next year's income tax!
I blew out one of my speakers in my car. Driver's side. Maybe I shouldn't be bumpin' with factory speaker goodness. Maybe its time for an upgrade.

I'm becoming less defined as days go by
Fading away (you might say) I'm losing focus
Kind of drifting into the abstract in terms of how I see myself
Sometimes I think I can see right through myself
Less concerned about fitting in to the world
Your world that is because it doesn't really matter anymore
None of this really matters anymore
Yes I am alone but then again I always was, as far back as I can tell
I think maybe it's because, because you were never real to begin with
I just made you up to hurt myself, and it worked. Yes it did
There is no you, there is only me
There is no fucking you, there is only me, only
Well the tiniest little dot caught my eye
And it turned out to be a scab
And I had this funny feeling like I just knew it's something bad
I just couldn't leave alone
And I kept picking at that scab
Like it was a doorway trying to seal itself shut
But I climbed through
And now I'm somewhere I am not supposed to be
And I can see things I know I really shouldn't see
Now I know why and now I know why
Things aren't as pretty on the inside
There is no fucking you, there is only me, only
Is this really all there is?
Is this really all there is?
